[Composite Decking Installers Newcastle]

Composite install and repair · Tyneside and the North East

Composite done right, or fixed if it wasn't.

Most composite deck problems come from the frame and the fitting, not the boards. We find the cause, fix it properly and fit new decks to the board maker's published guide.

  • Photos first, so a visit is only booked when it's needed
  • Written fault report: cause, fix and price

What do you need?

Problem and fix

Three common composite faults

Fault

Board ends lifting

Usually joists set too far apart or boards butted with no end gap. The boards aren't faulty; the frame is.

Fault

Clips letting go

Screws into soft timber, or clips that don't suit the board. We check what's underneath before refitting.

Fault

A deck that bounces

Joists too small for their span, or posts on soft ground. Fixed from underneath, not by adding more screws on top.

Method

How a repair works

  1. Step 01

    Send photos

The whole deck, close-ups of the problem, and the edge where the frame shows.

  2. Step 02

    Our view

We tell you the likely cause and whether a visit is needed.

  3. Step 03

    Written report

Cause, fix and a fixed price, in writing.

  4. Step 04

    Repair

Fixed at the source, then boards back on with the right clips and gaps.

Q&A

Quick answers

Q1Will you repair a deck someone else fitted?

Yes. Most of our repair work is on decks we didn't build. We'll tell you plainly what's wrong and what it takes to fix it.

Q2Is a lifting board a faulty board?

Rarely. In most cases it's the joist spacing, the end gaps or the fixings. Replacing the board without fixing the cause just means it happens again.

Q3Do you cover the whole North East?

Yes. Most of our work is in Newcastle and Tyneside, but photos let us look at decks anywhere from Northumberland to Teesside before booking a visit.

Q4Do you need to visit before giving a price?

Not always. Good photos often tell us enough to give you our view and a price range. If we need to see the frame, we'll book a visit.
